Kaleswaram temple

Kaleswaram


Kaleswaram temple is in the border of Telangana and Maharashtra states and this is 115 km away from Warangal and 275 km from Hyderabad.  In this ancient temple, there are two Lingas found Lord Shiva and Lord Yama, it together known as Kaleswara Mukteswara Swamy.  This place is also known as Dakshina Triveni Sangamam.  During mahashivaratri kathika maasam (month), large number of people visit this temple.



Buses ply regularly from Karimnagar and Warangal to this temple.  The bus service in Hanamkonda (Warangal) starts from 4:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Temple will be kept open from 4 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then from 3:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Pranahita Pushkaralu  also held here in kaleswaram.  Here Pranahitha river along with vynya and saraswati rivers merge in Godavari, where people take holy baths in December from 6th to 17th.

Prasadam available are two types,  Tamind rice (Pulihora) and Sweet (Laddu).
